I let out a fury of stabs with my Cold Steel (first gen) skull head cane sword. These are pieces of junk. The blades are made out of some of the softest stainless steel (420j2) Since this video was made, I have used the skull head to make a proper cane.

I was handcuffed and arrested by a New York City police officer for carrying a replica samurai sword, in public, on Halloween. The entire length of the blade is completely dull but it is made of metal. I had it in its sheath and was carrying it on my shoulder. I looked through the New York Penal Law but nothing on replica samurai swords, though I did find the law against carrying cane swords. Was my arrest warranted?
You can get arrested for carrying pretty much any weapon. Your arrest was warranted. The same goes for cane swords unless they're antiques.
Are all pocketknives that are "concealed" illegal? I'm from N.Y. State.
Pretty much all states have made it illegal to carry a springloaded or gravity knife. Most states also consider any knife over 3" to be carried for the purpose of being used as a weapon.
