Medieval Sword
How do you keep a sword in your hand if someone hits it with their sword right above your hand?
It seems like the perfect move because it would make the sword vibrate so much that you would have to drop it. Is there a certain way to hold a sword to stop this from happening? (I mean like medieval swords not fencing ones)
You need to learn how to grip the hilt properly for one. Most people who have no training tend to grip a sword very tightly the way you would a baseball bat. This makes it easier to knock the sword out of your hand. You should grip it the way you properly grip a Tennis racquet. Not so tight and yet not too loose, with just enough slack for free wrist movement.
