I was looking into buying an automatic switchblade knife. Although they are illegal in most places, I was wondering where I could get one from?

Well if the blade is over 3 inches or longer then the palm of your hand, their illegal in public. You can get them online or at a sporting goods store like Dick’s Sporting Goods. I also see them a lot at the flea market. Have fun and be safe, you could injure somebody pretty bad.

They are illegal to possess in most states. However, you can own one and keep in your home. Every state is different on knife laws including the blade length. You will have many folks tell you the "longer then the palm of your hand" myth but in states like Texas, unless your palm is over 5 1/2 inches, your blade will be legal (unless it’s a switchblade of course). You can buy them from most companies through the internet. It depends on how much you are willing to spend. Cheaply made knives can go for 30-50 bucks, quality knives like Benchmade and Emerson will go for hundreds. When it comes to knives you generally get what you pay for.
