Can I Carry A Switchblade Knife In Washington State If I Get A Concealed Carry Permit?
Does a concealed weapons permit allow me to carry a switchblade/auto knife in Washington or just a hand gun?
Switchblade knives are illegal in Washington state....period.
Brass knuckles are also illegal here.
Possession of either of them is a misdemeanor here, not a felony.

Supposedly I can carry brass knuckes legally with a CWP but I don’t know for sure. Usually there is no state law against people carrying knives on their person. I used to carry brass knuckles but stopped as I thought it wasn’t worth the felony if caught. I still carry a 4" blade folding knife. Not to big, just conveinent at time to time.

Strangely enough, most states prohibit carrying and/or owning a switchblade, but those same states will allow you to carry a pistol with a permit. This just goes to prove that many laws in this country are completely illogical and backwards. The laws banning switchblades come from many decades ago when tales of switchblades and switchblades in popular media. A similar thing happened in the 60-90s with guns. People based their opinions and politics on media and not on real statistics. Anyways…
Check your local laws, but I doubt it. Here in Nevada, you can get a permit to carry any caliber of pistol, but not a switchblade. To check your laws simply google "Washington switchblade laws". A government website should come up. Just make sure the information you get is from a .gov website, otherwise its shady at best. Carrying a gun is more useful anyways in a self defense situation.

Here in Nevada, there are many items which are classified as a "dangerous weapon" and therefore are illegal to possess. Some of these items are brass knuckles, throwing stars, nunchakus, and switchblade knives. Having a concealed carry weapon permit does NOT legalize the carrying of these items. They are all still illegal. The CCW permit authorizes the bearer to carry a firearm on his person where it is concealed from the view of others. This person can’t just carry ANY guy they want to either, they have to pass a qualification test for every gun they may want to carry. In short, a Concealed Carry Weapon’s permit is only good for guns, and only those exact guns (like down to the serial number) with which the person has qualified with.
Here, when you get a CCW, it will show which gun (or guns) you have tested with and are allowed to carry. If you CCW says you’re authorized to carry a Glock 17 – .9mm, with a serial number of ABC123 and you get caught carrying a Desert Eagle .50 Cal… you’re breaking the law.

No. A CCL only applies to handguns. Switch blade knives are illegal, period.

No – for two reasons.
Switchblades are specifically listed as illegal.
The carry permit is titled "Concealed Pistol Permit"…not concealed weapon permit.

Its pretty ridiculous that I can legally carry a loaded .357 but its illegal to carry a switchblade knife, just another old law that needs to be changed in Washington but at least they are getting ready to make silencers legal to have mounted on your gun lol.
