I Know Switchblade Knives Are Illegal In Canada ?

but are spring assisted knives legal.My brother says they are but I say there is no difference between a switchblade and spring assisted blade.
he wants to buy one on Ebay and I'm telling him that it's probably no legal in canada and will not get through customs

    Your brother is trying to play a word game or just doesn’t understand what he is talking about. A spring assisted knife IS a switchblade. He can argue this all day long, but the custom’s officials are not open to word play games. It won’t make it through customs.
