Folding Pocket
Do people often get pocket knives/folding knives engraved?
im getting my boyfriend a knife because he collects them.. but im not sure if i should get it engraved.. if i do, am i supposed to just put his first and last name?
A collector usually doesn't engrave the knives they collect. Some collect just to have and admire but some collect as an investment to sell for a profit at a later date. If he has given you a name brand and or model of knife he would like chances are that he is collecting it and therefore it's doubtful he would want it engraved. However if it is going to be a cherished gift from the love of his life that he will never want to part with then yes I would have it engraved but only with his initials.
Side note: The first letter of his first, middle, and last name are the proper letters to have engraved just so we're clear about it.
