Bar Black
Why do I have a black bar on the right side of my screen that covers the up & down arrows?
This black bar seems to have moved the screen to the left and hides the left arrow. When I move the screen to the right by moving the blue strip at the top of the screen with the curser it goes in the back of the black strip. How do I get rid of the black strip?
Your screen simply needs to have the horizontal position adjusted. There should be controls of the front, or under a control panel in the front. This is the typical Menu button with Left and Right arrows that help you with various adjustments.
With age, an old CRT type monitor might require minor adjustments. But a while mis-alignment might be the first indication of old age. If a CRT monitor is over 7 years old, consider it in the TWILIGHT of it's normal life.
I recommend that you consider a Flat Panel monitor when it comes time to replace it. Look at Wal-Mart or Staples for a super deal when that time comes. If you have lots of time to make a selection, consider a larger monitor at the same price from a good on-line source like NewEgg. Visit http://www.newegg.com and search for "LCD MONITOR"
